Growing up in a religious household, Bishop Williams was heavenly involved in the church. Starting out, he assisted whenever needed as a drummer and a guitarist. Upon returning from college, he was ordained by Chief Apostle Robert L. Williams as a deacon. Due to his willingness to serve and his dedication to the church, he was appointed as an Elder and a Minister in 2000. His duties and accomplishments are as follows:
- Manager of facilities
- Initiated a summer basketball league with other churches
- Participated in nursing and outreach ministries
- Head minister over baptism
- Chairperson of the finance committee
In 2004 and under the leadership of Chief Apostle Robert Williams and Lady Patricia Williams, Bishop Williams served as Assistant Pastor of Straight Life Church in Decatur. Two years later, he was appointed Pastor of Straight Life Church in Griffin. Since being ordained, Bishop Williams has been appointed Superintendent over the Straight Life Church, seen an increase in financial revenue and membership, submitted several applications for ordination, and initiated a celebration for all members.
Bishop Williams received his associate degree from Roxbury Community College. Following his associate degree, he went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in History from Keene State College. While attending college, Pastor Williams met his college sweetheart, Dorothy Works. Since their marriage in 1983, they have been serving the ministry together. They are the proud parents of two adult children and three grandchildren.
